Welcome everyone! My name is Gonçalo Oliveira, also known as Godzallo. I'm a 26 years old student currently taking a masters degree in Engineering For Video Game Development at IPCA and graduated in Video Game Design at IPB in 2022. Here you will be able to see most of my Personal and University Projects developed during my Game Dev Journey!
Being a Gamer since my childhood, I developed a passion for Video Game Development since I was 12 years old and always wanted to make my wild ideas come to life as Video Games such as the ones I used to play all day. Along the way, I learned how to program and use different tools and Game Engines to help me develop the games I love. I especialize in Game Engines, Modeling, Level Design, Programming and Procedural Content Generation. Creating fantastic worlds and amazing experiences is always my main goal with my projects focusing on the fun experiences the games that I develop can provide to others the same way that the games I used to play provided to me.

Project E is a Singleplayer/Adventure Exploration game with procedural generated worlds where the player is placed in a world of misteries and tries to discover hidden secrets left by an extinguished civilization.
Battle for Kurundan is a frenetic fast-paced retro fps game resembling old classic shooters like Doom and Quake where the player needs to defeat hordes of enemies in a dystopic world controlled by robots and aliens.
Critical Path is a comic 3D top-down tower defense game where the player is trying to defend an organism from the invading covid variants.
Aspargo Knight is a 2D Side-Scroller Platformer about a banana that lost his memory and is fighting against hordes of mean vegetables.
Call of Pets - Modern Wizard is a 3rd Person Top-Down Shooter with comic elements about a wizard trying to save his little elemental friends from mean monsters.
Project R is an ambitious game that combines visual elements and movements reminiscent of classic "Boomer Shooter" games like Quake and Doom with progression and game loop elements from a Roguelike. The project is still in development
This paper explains a technical approach and the architecture of a Procedural Content Generation tool developed for Project E and it was presented at the OL2A International Conference.
This paper explains the implementation of the PCG system and explores some playtesting sessions results made for Project E.
